Currently the "Search Records" action only allows searching records by title. Searching other fields too would make this much more useful.

You're right – I'm leaving this request open because we'd like to add this to our search action.
However, if want a quick fix, you can use our helper called "Make a POST request to a URL" (under dev tools) to set up a custom API call. Using the API documentation of your SmartSuite solution, you can set up a call to search for records using any field.
